Women move science forward.

Great women make great scientists. At AAAS, we want to ensure that women in science always have a voice and always have opportunities to achieve greatness, now and in the future. That’s why we advocate for and engage in a variety of initiatives aimed at supporting women in STEMM, including:

• L’Oréal USA For Women in Science Fellowship, which awards five $60,000 grants annually to women who are conducting postdoctoral research in the STEMM fields.
• SEA Change, which aims to advance institutional transformation in support of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in colleges and universities.
• The Marion Milligan Mason Awards, which provides four grants of $55,000 every other year to women engaged in basic research in the chemical sciences.
• The AAAS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Report, an annual update on the career-enabling functions we help propel and our efforts to drive change within and beyond our organization.
