Our initiatives include:

• STEMM Opportunity Alliance (SOA), led by AAAS in collaboration with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the Doris Duke Foundation, and more than 230 cross-sector partners. SOA is uniquely positioned to bring about fundamental, systemic change and advance equity and excellence in STEMM by 2050.
• SOGI Initiative, partnering with University of Vermont's Queer and Trans People in Education (QTPiE) to increase the access and success of LGBTQ+ persons in STEMM.
• SEA Change, advancing STEMM equity achievement and institutional transformation in support of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in college and university settings.
• Diverse Voices in Science Journalism Internship, creating the opportunity for young journalists from diverse backgrounds to spend a summer working at Science. 
• Entry Point!, increasing the diversity of science and engineering workforce by empowering students and scientists with disabilities to participate throughout all STEMM education and career pathways.
  
• A dedicated equity team at AAAS who collaborates with cross-sector partners to understand, deconstruct, evolve, and reimagine inclusive systems, structures, and organizations to support full representation of all people in STEMM.
