2015 Annual Top Biotech and Pharma Employers Survey

Science Careers, a resource from Science/AAAS, is hosting its annual Top Biotech and Pharma Employers Survey. Your participation in this survey will help us to discover what scientists think about biotech, biopharma, and pharma employers, and to explore trends in the industry. The results of this survey will be published in the October 30, 2015 print issue of Science and online at ScienceCareers.org.

In order for this assessment to be accurate, we would appreciate your thoughtful and honest feedback. As you proceed with this study please keep in mind that your perceptions, which we are gathering with the survey questions, are the focus of this study.
While perceptions are often based on tangible or scientific facts, other times they are simply impressions and opinions that you carry in your mind. In either case your perception is your reality. In other words, your impressions and opinions are as valid for this study as your actual experience with any of the companies you will rate as you take this survey.
Your responses will be compiled with those of other responding scientists and then summarized before they are reported. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers. Report your own personal impressions, regardless of why you have them.

Your individual responses will remain anonymous. While we will ask you to choose the best, an average, and the worst employer, we will report only the best employers. The data on average and worst employers are being collected to provide perspective and to enable multivariate modeling.
We are providing drop-down menus with a list of companies in alphabetical order that have been cited most often in past surveys. This list is not meant to be comprehensive. If you wish to rate a company that is not in this list, simply select “Other” near the bottom of the list and write in the company name. Also, if you wish to rate fewer than three companies, you may choose “None” at the bottom of the list. If you enter “None” for a company name, please leave these ratings blank when rating companies in Section Two.
